Oregon State University
Graduated June 2001, Corvallis, OR
Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design
My education at OSU taught me more than how to be a graphic designer. I broadened my perception of the world. I took a wide range of classes, from Anatomy and Physiology of the Brain to Competitive Basketball. Since my graduation in 2001 I continued learning in the field of web design. I chose to specialize in CSS to improve my design and to be part of a new internet that focuses on web standards and accessibility.
When possible I have attended events like AnEventApart and those hosted by Macromedia and Adobe. As a result I have absorbed many techniques into my bag of tricks. With this knowledge I can work more efficiently and communicate better with my coworkers.
Being a native Oregonian, born and raised, my interests naturally lean to the outdoors and nature. Since childhood I've hiked, climbed, biked and fished, as I got older I also snowboarded, sailboated, and rowed.
Since Oregon is rainy most of the year many of my hobbies happened indoors and centered around computers. Now I can build and fix them when I'm not playing on them. Other indoor hobbies include drawing, cooking, listening to music (WOXY.com), and watching my favorite shows: Battlestar Gallactica, The 4400, Lost, Heroes, and Adult Swim.
